MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must have:

  • Grade 12 certificate.
  • A valid Code B driving licence.
  • South African citizenship.
  • No criminal record.
  • Good physical fitness and suitability for strenuous exercises.
  • Willingness to undergo driving and competency tests.

Important: Shortlisted candidates will undergo a medical assessment.

ABOUT THE LEARNERSHIP

The department invites applications from young people residing in Mpumalanga who want to develop skills and knowledge in traffic law enforcement.

Successful candidates will enter into a 12-month contract with the department. On completion of the programme, learners will receive a Diploma in Basic Traffic Officer: NQF Level 4.

SELECTION PROCESS

Selected candidates will undergo suitability checks, including:

  • Qualification verification.
  • Criminal record checks.
  • Citizenship verification.
  • Financial record checks.
  • Driving licence verification.

Shortlisted candidates must also complete two pre-entry assessments: a practical exercise and an integrity assessment.
