MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must have:
- Minimum Grade 10
- South African citizenship
- Residency within the City of Ekurhuleni
- Knowledge of municipal services
- Ability to perform general labour-intensive duties
- Ability to follow instructions and workplace safety procedures
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Successful candidates will:
- Receive daily work instructions from the designated supervisor.
- Visit businesses to encourage applications for business licences and trading permits where applicable.
- Maintain accurate daily records of businesses visited.
- Record work completed each day.
- Capture and update business-owner and contact information.
- Report suspected non-compliant business activities.
- Report operational problems to the supervisor.
- Load and offload materials, tools and equipment.
- Transport materials and equipment safely.
- Perform general labour duties at municipal offices, workshops, yards and field sites.
- Keep tools, equipment and materials safe and in good condition.
- Follow Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
- Follow safe working procedures.
- Provide general assistance with municipal service-delivery operations.
- Perform other reasonable duties assigned by an authorised supervisor.
