MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must have:
- NQF Level 1 or relevant equivalent qualification
- Basic knowledge of planting
- Knowledge of firefighting
- Good communication skills

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Reliability and self-discipline
- Ability to accept responsibility
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Successful candidates will:
- Perform silviculture duties within plantations and forests.
- Assist with the marking of plots.
- Count and mark trees.
- Maintain and update relevant work registers.
- Assist with fighting forest and veld fires.
- Perform prescribed burning duties when required.
- Provide harvesting support services.
- Monitor propagation activities.
- Assist with producing and processing poles.
- Cut poles as required.
- Assist with drying and sampling poles.
- Perform other related forestry duties.
