KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will:
- Prepare and manage the till float.
- Operate the till and scanner accurately and efficiently.
- Process customer purchases through the POS system.
- Receive and process different forms of payment.
- Handle cash transactions.
- Process refunds according to procedures.
- Balance the till.
- Help prevent wastage, shrinkage and damages.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic work area.
- Follow workplace safety and security procedures.
- Operate and clean equipment according to required standards.
- Assist customers with queries in a friendly and professional manner.
- Help resolve customer complaints.
- Promote additional products and services when appropriate.
- Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction.
