MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must have:
- National Senior Certificate or equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification.
- At least 3 years of cleaning experience in a warehouse, industrial or commercial environment.
- Basic understanding of health and safety practices.
- Ability to perform the manual tasks required by the role.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong safety awareness.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will:
- Clean warehouse floors, walkways, desks, restrooms and common areas.
- Sweep, mop and vacuum designated areas.
- Remove dust, debris and waste.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste according to company procedures.
- Keep loading bays, storage areas and entrances clean.
- Maintain clean kitchen and bathroom areas.
- Refill soap, toilet paper and other consumables when required.
- Use and store cleaning equipment safely.
- Check that cleaning equipment is in good working condition.
- Report damaged or broken equipment.
- Report spillages, hazards and maintenance problems immediately.
- Inform the line manager when cleaning materials are running low.
- Assist in maintaining general warehouse housekeeping standards.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
