MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Applicants should have:
- Grade 12 or equivalent NQF qualification.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic selling and customer-service skills.
- A friendly and professional approach to customers.
- Honesty, reliability and self-discipline.
- Ability to remain calm and work effectively under pressure.
- Flexibility to work different shifts.
- Relevant retail or customer-service experience is preferred but not mandatory.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will:
- Welcome and assist customers in a friendly manner.
- Accurately process transactions at the tills.
- Handle different payment methods according to company procedures.
- Promote Woolworths loyalty programmes and additional services.
- Assist with services such as airtime sales and utility bill payments.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised till area.
- Check pricing and help resolve discrepancies.
- Follow loss-prevention procedures to minimise shrinkage.
- Assist customers with basic product information.
- Support promotions and special store campaigns.
- Provide efficient service during busy periods.
- Attend team meetings and follow company policies.
- Maintain required standards of attendance, dress and hygiene.
