JOB SUMMARY
Woolworths is looking for a Store Assistant: Stockroom to join its Shelley Beach store in KwaZulu-Natal. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining an organised, hygienic and safe stockroom while supporting efficient stock movement and excellent internal customer service.
REQUIREMENTS
• Grade 12 or equivalent NQF qualification.
• Previous experience in a retail or FMCG stockroom/receiving environment will be an advantage.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts as required.
• Basic product knowledge relevant to retail stock.
• Good communication skills.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Ability to follow company policies and procedures.
• Customer-service orientated.
• Good planning, organising and attention to detail.
• Reliable, honest and committed to workplace standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintain an organised, hygienic and safe stockroom in accordance with company policies and OHASA standards.
• Process stock movements including Returns to Vendor (RTVs), Inter-Branch Transfers (IBTs) and waste according to Woolworths procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal customers.
• Handle stock accurately to minimise shrinkage.
• Support store operations by keeping stockrooms and back areas clean, safe and well organised.
• Report any dishonest behaviour, fraud or stock losses to management.
• Maintain attendance, dress code and ethical workplace standards.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to achieving operational goals.
• Maintain accurate stock records and documentation.
• Perform all duties with attention to detail while maintaining quality standards.
