REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum Grade 09 / ABET Level 4 or equivalent qualification
• No experience required
• Good interpersonal skills
• Basic communication and literacy skills
• Ability to perform routine cleaning tasks
• Knowledge of the use of cleaning materials and equipment
• Good verbal and written communication skills
DUTIES
• Clean hospital buildings, including emptying dustbins, dusting and polishing wooden tables and furniture.
• Refill water bottles with fresh water.
• Clean windows and walls.
• Wash floors and vacuum carpets.
• Clean toilets and perform deep cleaning of toilet facilities.
• Refill toilet dispensers with toilet paper and hand-washing soap.
• Wash toilet floors.
• Clean kitchen floors and kitchen utensils.
• Assist with serving tea and coffee during forums and meetings.
• Report defects encountered during cleaning.
• Alert staff of slippery floors and stairs.
• Report failed light bulbs and faulty locks to the supervisor.
• Use proper handling techniques to prevent cross-contamination and maintain infection control standards.
• Ensure proper utilisation of physical and financial resources.
• Adhere to Human Resource practices.
• Perform any other duties as delegated.
