REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Grade 10.
- Grade 12 will be an added advantage.
- Previous experience in a hospital food service environment will be an added advantage.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Teamwork skills.
- Numeracy and literacy skills.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual duties.
- Reliable and trustworthy.
- Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
- Understanding of Batho Pele Principles in relation to Food Services.
DUTIES
- Perform routine duties in the Food Service Unit.
- Operate large-scale food service equipment.
- Maintain hygiene and safety standards in the unit.
- Unpack and pack food supplies into storerooms, cold rooms and freezers.
- Clean cold rooms, freezers and storerooms.
- Prepare, portion and distribute normal and therapeutic diets.
- Adhere to Food Service policies and guidelines.
- Rotate duties as a relief worker within the unit.
