REQUIREMENTS
- ABET Certificate.
- Higher qualifications will be an added advantage.
- 0–1 year of work experience.
- More than 2 years’ experience performing manual work will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of general maintenance work and handling equipment.
- Knowledge of gardening equipment, lawn care, pruning and trimming.
- Knowledge of chemical use (mixing and dilution).
- Knowledge of equipment maintenance procedures.
- Basic knowledge of water utilisation and water resource management.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
- Knowledge of gardening and planting practices.
- Basic understanding of Government legislation.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to work in or near rivers, dams, canals, and confined spaces.
- Must be willing to assist other schemes and maintenance teams when required.
- Must be punctual, productive, and reliable.
DUTIES
- Clean and maintain gardens, grounds, buildings, fences, and benches.
- Use hand and power tools for maintenance work.
- Mix and apply fertilisers, herbicides, and insecticides.
- Maintain sidewalks, driveways, parking areas, fountains, and landscaped areas.
- Care for lawns, plants, trees, and gardens.
- Rake leaves, apply mulch, and irrigate plants and lawns.
- Sweep walkways and parking areas.
- Clean buildings, floors, and windows.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
- Repair minor equipment faults and report major repairs.
- Maintain job cards and equipment maintenance records.
- Inspect infrastructure and report defects such as cracks, embankment damage, and stagnant water.
