REQUIREMENTS

  • ABET Certificate or relevant qualification
  • Must be able to read and write
  • 0–1 year of relevant experience
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and willing to work
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Willing to work overtime when required
  • Knowledge of gardening equipment and tools
  • Knowledge of lawn care, pruning, and trimming techniques
  • Knowledge of chemical use
  • Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Knowledge of maintenance procedures for machinery and equipment

DUTIES

  • Maintain structures and assist with construction-related work
  • Move and load heavy equipment on government water schemes
  • Clean and maintain grounds, buildings, fences, benches, and other structures
  • Cut grass, trim trees, and maintain dam walls and surrounding areas
  • Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and insecticides where required
  • Perform regular inspections of tools and report defects
  • Maintain sidewalks, driveways, parking areas, fountains, planters, and gardens
  • Care for lawns, plants, shrubs, and trees
