REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum ABET qualification
- No experience required
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Basic knowledge of health and safety
- Knowledge of food preparation and kitchen equipment
- Willingness to work shifts
- Good interpersonal skills
- Punctual and reliable
DUTIES
- Operate kitchen appliances
- Prepare meals and snacks according to ration scales and daily menus
- Assist with serving meals
- Assist with food preparation during field exercises
- Clean trays in hospital wards
- Set up bed tables and deliver meals using food warming trolleys
- Ensure special diets and correct meal portions are provided
- Serve tea and coffee
- Collect dishes after meals
- Return food trolleys to the kitchen
- Wash patients’ water bottles and provide fresh drinking water daily
- Mop kitchen floors after each meal
- Clean cupboards and walls
