Job Purpose
To perform housekeeping functions and maintain a clean, safe, and professional working environment for Services SETA staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Cleaning and Housekeeping
- Maintain and adhere to the cleaning schedule.
- Ensure offices, boardrooms, and common areas are clean and tidy.
- Complete cleaning rosters.
- Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, and floors.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
- Dust furniture, equipment, and partitions.
- Empty bins and remove refuse to designated collection points.
- Clean rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture using a vacuum cleaner.
- Wash walls, windows, door panels, partitions, woodwork, and window sills.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and ensure it remains in good working condition.
Hospitality and Support Services
- Welcome visitors professionally and offer refreshments when required.
- Ensure staff and visitors are provided with refreshments on time.
- Check that all tools and materials needed for daily duties are available.
- Conduct regular inspections of the premises and report faults promptly.
Stock Control
- Keep track of cleaning materials and supplies.
- Replenish bathroom supplies and polish fixtures and fittings.
- Ensure sufficient stock of cleaning products and beverages is available.
- Report stock replacement requirements proactively to the Manager/Senior Officer.
- Conduct weekly and monthly inventory checks on stock and utensils.
Departmental Support
- Support all departments by maintaining a healthy, clean, and organised work environment.
- Contribute to the efficient functioning of the organisation.
Requirements
- Grade 10 or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in corporate housekeeping will be an added advantage.

- Appointment is subject to signing a performance agreement.
- Shortlisted candidates may undergo psychometric assessments.
