Job Description
Umalusi is seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping employee to ensure a clean, organised, and professional working environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining boardrooms, kitchens, and common areas while providing support during meetings and other office activities.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Prepare boardrooms for meetings
• Ensure boardrooms are clean, neat, and ready for scheduled meetings
• Clean boardrooms after meetings
• Ensure tea, coffee, milk, refreshments, and related supplies are available before meetings
• Dust work surfaces and office furniture
• Replace empty supplies when required
• Empty office bins regularly
• Clean kitchens and wash dishes and kitchen utensils
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the workplace
• Work independently and under pressure when required
• Be willing to work extended hours when necessary
• Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
• At least 3 years’ experience as a Cleaner or Housekeeping employee
• Knowledge of cleaning products and equipment
• Familiarity with sanitation and hygiene regulations
• Basic record-keeping skills
