Requirements

  • Grade 10–12 or equivalent NQF Level 3–5 qualification.
  • Hospital environment and laundry experience will be an added advantage.
  • Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Willingness to work shifts when required.

Duties

  • Distribute and collect linen from hospital wards.
  • Sluice and handle soiled and blood-stained linen.
  • Pack dirty linen into laundry bags and load them onto trucks for transportation to Masakhane for washing.
  • Offload and unpack clean linen bags received from the service provider.
  • Perform quarterly stocktaking of linen.
  • Work overtime and additional hours when required.
  • Provide assistance beyond normal duties when necessary.
