Requirements

Grade 10 or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in driving/messenger services, or a Grade 12 qualification with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in driving/messenger services.

A valid Code 10 (EC1) driver’s license with a valid PDP (attach a certified copy of PDP).

Knowledge of key transport regulations in South Africa.

Be reliable and punctual.

Must be prepared to work day shift and night shift, weekends, and public holidays.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Duties

Responsible for the safe and legal operation of state vehicles.

Transport patients and staff to different destinations.

Deliver and collect official documents and stock when requested.

Deliver stock internally and externally.

Report incidents, inspect vehicles, and take vehicles for repair and maintenance.

Responsible for handling car keys, fuel cards, fuel receipts, vehicle operating tag, and logbook.

Ensure knowledge and compliance with National Transport Regulations of South Africa.

Responsible for completing the logbook and transport request forms fully and accurately.

Carry out any lawful instruction of the Transport Officer regarding transport-related matters.
