Job Description
- Purpose of the Role
To provide catering and hospitality support to Capitec Bank staff and visitors by preparing and serving refreshments while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in tea rooms, kitchens, and boardrooms. The role contributes to a welcoming and professional office environment. - Key Responsibilities
Refreshment Service
Prepare and serve tea, coffee, water, and light refreshments for staff, meetings, and visitors.
Set up and clear refreshments for meetings and training sessions as per requirements.
Ensure trays, cups, crockery, and cutlery are clean and neatly arranged at all times
Kitchen & Tea Room Maintenance
Clean and sanitize tea rooms, kitchens, fridges, microwaves, and countertops daily.
Replenish stock of tea, coffee, sugar, milk, snacks, and cleaning supplies, and report low levels to Facilities.
Empty and clean bins and ensure proper waste disposal in line with hygiene standards.
Inventory & Stock Control
Monitor and record usage of kitchen supplies and consumables.
Assist with receiving and storing deliveries of kitchen stock.
Maintain an organized and tidy storage area for all kitchen items.
Health, Safety & Compliance
Adhere to Capitec’s food hygiene and safety protocols at all times.
Wear appropriate PPE and use cleaning chemicals safely as per guidelines.
Report any equipment faults, spills, or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately. - Requirements
Matric / Grade 12 certificate preferred.
Previous experience in a similar role within an office, hospitality, or corporate environment is an advantage.
Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safe food handling practices.
Physically able to stand for extended periods and carry light loads.
Reliable, presentable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. - Working Hours
Hours Standard business hours, Monday to Friday.
Flexibility required for early mornings, late evenings, or occasional weekends depending on meeting schedules. - Personal Attributes

Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain confidentiality at all times.
