Finance Clerk: Store Stocktakes (Northern Suburbs (Cape))

Description
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To address store stocktake queries from stores within PEP by conducting store inventory count risk analyses (including ensuring the balancing and alignment of systems to ensure data integrity) and making recommendations to report correct stock loss.
In addition, monthly and year end responsibilities (in posting journals and reconciling the GL account) are included in the position
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
On-going store inventory count risk analyses, which include:
investigate and resolve escalated inventory queries from stores
communicate system and process errors, which includes making recommendations or suggesting improvements
daily monitoring of exception reports and approval of store stock takes
processing of financial adjustments for insurance
verification and resolving of transport claims
Month end responsibility: Processing of monthly accounting for determined inventory transactions (journals and GL accounts) in SA
Fosters relationships with all stakeholders (Internal and external)
Ad Hoc tasks
Requirements
JOB INCUMBENT REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12 (with Accounting)
An Accounting or Finance diploma (or degree) will be an advantage
3 years retail experience (especially understanding the retail store environment)
Stock take experience will be an advantage
Debtors or claim recovery experience will be an advantage
SAP experience will be an advantage
