Security Officers – Armed and Unarmed – Grade C/B

Minimum Requirements
PSIRA Grade A – Registered and accredited
MV driver’s license and use for at least 12 months on a normal basis
Firearm Competency (Handgun/Shotgun and Rifle) – at least two classes of firearms.
Matric or equivalent
No Criminal Record or any pending cases
Excellent Communication Skills each written and verbal
Previous management ride advantageous
Security escorting or Armed Response experience
Basic investigation ride and ride to attend to incidents
SAPS or army journey will be beneficial
Ability to lead a small team
Report writing competencies and incident reporting
Basic pc literacy and capacity to manage digital operational devices
The basic perception of OH&S and compliance with rail infrastructure procedures
Medically healthy and capable to climb over and interact with barriers as and when required
Able to work shifts, in particular, night time shift for prolonged periods
