MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must have:

• Minimum Grade 10
• South African citizenship
• Residency within the City of Ekurhuleni
• Knowledge of municipal services
• Ability to perform general labour-intensive duties
• Ability to follow instructions and workplace safety procedures

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Successful candidates will:

• Receive daily work instructions from the designated supervisor.
• Visit businesses to encourage applications for business licences and trading permits where applicable.
• Maintain accurate daily records of businesses visited.
• Record work completed each day.
• Capture and update business-owner and contact information.
• Report suspected non-compliant business activities.
• Report operational problems to the supervisor.
• Load and offload materials, tools and equipment.
• Transport materials and equipment safely.
• Perform general labour duties at municipal offices, workshops, yards and field sites.
• Keep tools, equipment and materials safe and in good condition.
• Follow Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
• Follow safe working procedures.
• Provide general assistance with municipal service-delivery operations.
• Perform other reasonable duties assigned by an authorised supervisor.
