TROLLEY PORTER GENERAL ASSISTANT VACANCY – PERMANENT FULL-TIME JOB

This is a permanent, full-time position requiring Matric and relevant work experience. The successful candidate will support Fruitstop operations, including food preparation, stock handling, cleaning and general assistance.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must have:

Matric / Grade 12
Relevant experience as a Cook, Deli Assistant, General Assistant or Waiter/Waitress
Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
Clear criminal record
Must live within 20 km of the job location

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will:

Assist with general day-to-day duties.
Prepare cut fruit, smoothies and salads.
Cut and prepare fruit according to company recipes.
Use Fruitstop equipment correctly.
Receive and store incoming supplies.
Store food correctly to maintain freshness and prevent spoilage.
Manage food supplies and equipment.
Monitor stock and report low supplies to management.
Check prepared food for quality and correct quantities.
Conduct regular equipment checks.
Keep equipment clean and properly maintained.
Report equipment problems when required.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working area.
Follow required closing procedures.
Assist other team members when necessary.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

The vacancy lists Delivery Assistant experience as an advantage.

Candidates between 18 and 32 years old are also listed as a preference, rather than a mandatory requirement.
