TROLLEY PORTER GENERAL ASSISTANT VACANCY – PERMANENT FULL-TIME JOB

This is a permanent, full-time position requiring Matric and relevant work experience. The successful candidate will support Fruitstop operations, including food preparation, stock handling, cleaning and general assistance.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must have:

• Matric / Grade 12
• Relevant experience as a Cook, Deli Assistant, General Assistant or Waiter/Waitress
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
• Clear criminal record
• Must live within 20 km of the job location

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will:

• Assist with general day-to-day duties.
• Prepare cut fruit, smoothies and salads.
• Cut and prepare fruit according to company recipes.
• Use Fruitstop equipment correctly.
• Receive and store incoming supplies.
• Store food correctly to maintain freshness and prevent spoilage.
• Manage food supplies and equipment.
• Monitor stock and report low supplies to management.
• Check prepared food for quality and correct quantities.
• Conduct regular equipment checks.
• Keep equipment clean and properly maintained.
• Report equipment problems when required.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working area.
• Follow required closing procedures.
• Assist other team members when necessary.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

The vacancy lists Delivery Assistant experience as an advantage.

Candidates between 18 and 32 years old are also listed as a preference, rather than a mandatory requirement.
