Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for Casual Cashiers to join its talent pool for stores at Fourways Mall, Sandton, Gauteng.

This is an entry-level, part-time opportunity for candidates with Matric and at least 6 months of cashier/till experience.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must have:

Grade 12 / Matric
At least 6 months’ cashier/till operations experience
Computer literacy, including MS Office
Good numerical skills
Strong command of English
Basic customer-service skills
Ability and willingness to work retail hours
Reliable transport and/or live close to the store
South African citizenship
Clear credit and criminal records

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Successful candidates may be required to:

Operate the till and process customer transactions.
Receive cash, card, voucher, coupon and other approved payments.
Process sales, refunds and authorised returns.
Process loyalty cards.
Maintain accurate cash handling and cash flow.
Keep money secure inside the till.
Follow procedures for cash drops.
Ensure outgoing products are correctly scanned and paid for.
Obtain supervisor approval for price changes and line voids.
Assist customers with merchandise queries.
Maintain professional customer service.
Report customer complaints and compliments.
Stay informed about current promotions and sales.
Identify and report suspicious behaviour.
Follow store security policies and procedures.
Protect confidential information relating to daily takings.
