MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Applicants should have:

• Grade 10–12 preferred
• 1–2 years of cleaning experience within industrial, agricultural or logistics operations
• Basic cleaning or safety training will be advantageous
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe waste handling
• Ability to use cleaning tools and light cleaning equipment
• Basic understanding of safety procedures around heavy machinery
• Ability to identify and report workplace hazards
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliability and self-discipline
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to perform manual and repetitive tasks

Experience working around heavy equipment or high-traffic operational areas will be beneficial.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will:

• Perform routine and deep cleaning of operational areas.
• Clean loading zones, workshops, offices and ablution facilities.
• Remove mud, dust, leaves, spills and other debris.
• Clean workshop floors, tools, benches and storage areas.
• Keep walkways and access points clean and unobstructed.
• Maintain cleanliness around parking areas, wash bays and storage yards.
• Empty bins and replace liners.
• Separate and dispose of waste according to site procedures.
• Assist with maintaining recycling areas.
• Clean spills and help keep floors and pathways safe.
• Place warning signs when cleaning is in progress.
• Identify and report workplace hazards.
• Use and store cleaning chemicals safely.
• Follow PPE and workplace safety requirements.
• Maintain cleaning tools and equipment.
• Report damaged or faulty equipment.
• Monitor cleaning-material supplies.
• Complete cleaning checklists and housekeeping records.
• Report spills, incidents and hazards to the supervisor.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Applicants should be prepared to:

• Work in both indoor and outdoor operational environments
• Work around moving trucks and heavy machinery
• Work in dusty, muddy or noisy environments
• Wear required PPE
• Perform bending, lifting and prolonged standing
• Walk on uneven surfaces
• Work shifts when required
• Work weekends and public holidays when required
