Pick n Pay is looking for a Cashier to join its retail team in Durban North, KwaZulu-Natal.

This is a full-time opportunity for a customer-focused candidate with Grade 12 who can accurately process transactions and provide excellent customer service.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must have:

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Ability to communicate in English

Computer literacy will be advantageous.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will:

• Prepare and manage the till float.
• Operate the till and scanner accurately and efficiently.
• Process customer purchases through the POS system.
• Receive and process different forms of payment.
• Handle cash transactions.
• Process refunds according to procedures.
• Balance the till.
• Help prevent wastage, shrinkage and damages.
• Maintain a clean and hygienic work area.
• Follow workplace safety and security procedures.
• Operate and clean equipment according to required standards.
• Assist customers with queries in a friendly and professional manner.
• Help resolve customer complaints.
• Promote additional products and services when appropriate.
• Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction.
