Pump and Abrasion Technologies is looking for 3 Warehouse Packaging Assistants to join its operations team in Sunderland Ridge, Centurion, Gauteng.

These are permanent manufacturing positions involving picking, packing, pallet preparation, wrapping and general warehouse packaging duties.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must have:

Matric / Grade 12
Good attention to detail
Strong safety awareness
Ability to receive and follow instructions
Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers
Ability to read and follow labels, safety warnings and guidelines
Good time-management skills
Good organisational skills
Problem-solving abilities
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prioritise and manage different tasks

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Successful candidates will:

Pick and pack finished products.
Move wood from the delivery point to the wood-shop area.
Inspect tools before use.
Measure timber required for pallets.
Assist with preparing and assembling pallets.
Operate relevant cutting equipment as required.
Assemble wooden packaging.
Wrap packaged products.
Strap loads securely onto pallets.
Manage packaging consumables.
Assist with overhead-crane operations when packing loads.
Close pump intake and discharge openings.
Apply thread-protector tape.
Wrap and strap pumps and spare parts.
Maintain safe and organised working practices.
Perform other related duties when required.
