GOVERNMENT HUMAN RESOURCE CLERK VACANCY – GRADE 12 REQUIRED

The Department of Water and Sanitation is inviting applications for a Human Resource Clerk (Production) position at the Groblersdal Area Office.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must have:

• Senior Certificate / Grade 12
• Knowledge of the PERSAL system
• Knowledge of database applications
• Knowledge of spreadsheet applications
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure

Knowledge of the Public Service Act, Public Service Regulations and other relevant Human Resources prescripts will be an advantage.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will:

• Provide Human Resources clerical and administrative services.
• Assist with recruitment and selection processes.
• Provide administrative support for appointments.
• Assist with probation administration.
• Process service terminations.
• Administer conditions of service.
• Assist with leave, housing, medical aid and allowance processes.
• Respond to Human Resources enquiries.
• Provide HR registry services.
• Capture and update transactions on the PERSAL system.
• Respond to HR administration enquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain electronic and physical personnel filing systems.
• Draft routine correspondence.
• Assist with submissions and reports.
• Provide general administrative support.
• Assist with implementing departmental HR policies, regulations, guidelines and resolutions.
