MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Applicants should have:

• A recognised Care Worker or Nursing Assistant qualification, or equivalent.
• Proven experience providing care in a hospital or frail-care environment.
• Strong observational skills.
• Empathy and a patient-centred approach.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to recognise and report changes in a patient’s condition.
• Commitment to professional development and the CHPC Code of Conduct.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will:

• Provide safe and compassionate patient care.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Promote patient dignity, comfort and independence.
• Observe and monitor patients’ conditions.
• Document and report important changes to nursing staff.
• Work closely with nurses and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
