MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Applicants should have:

• Grade 12 or equivalent NQF qualification.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic selling and customer-service skills.
• A friendly and professional approach to customers.
• Honesty, reliability and self-discipline.
• Ability to remain calm and work effectively under pressure.
• Flexibility to work different shifts.
• Relevant retail or customer-service experience is preferred but not mandatory.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will:

• Welcome and assist customers in a friendly manner.
• Accurately process transactions at the tills.
• Handle different payment methods according to company procedures.
• Promote Woolworths loyalty programmes and additional services.
• Assist with services such as airtime sales and utility bill payments.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised till area.
• Check pricing and help resolve discrepancies.
• Follow loss-prevention procedures to minimise shrinkage.
• Assist customers with basic product information.
• Support promotions and special store campaigns.
• Provide efficient service during busy periods.
• Attend team meetings and follow company policies.
• Maintain required standards of attendance, dress and hygiene.
