The Department of Traditional Affairs is inviting applications for a Food Aid Services position in Pretoria.

Salary: R144 024 per annum + 37% in lieu of service benefits

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must have:

• Grade 9/10; or
• NQF Level 1 or 2; or
• ABET Level 2 certificate or equivalent
• No working experience required

KEY DUTIES

The successful candidate will:

• Prepare food, snacks and beverages such as tea and coffee.
• Serve food and beverages.
• Provide catering support services.
• Clean kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Maintain proper hygiene and safety standards.
• Keep stock of kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Set up crockery, cutlery and equipment in dining areas.
• Maintain quality-control measures for food.
• Dispose of garbage appropriately.
• Monitor food supplies and report waste or losses.
