REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum Grade 10.
• Grade 12 will be an added advantage.
• Previous experience in a hospital food service environment will be an added advantage.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Teamwork skills.
• Numeracy and literacy skills.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual duties.
• Reliable and trustworthy.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Understanding of Batho Pele Principles in relation to Food Services.

DUTIES

• Perform routine duties in the Food Service Unit.
• Operate large-scale food service equipment.
• Maintain hygiene and safety standards in the unit.
• Unpack and pack food supplies into storerooms, cold rooms and freezers.
• Clean cold rooms, freezers and storerooms.
• Prepare, portion and distribute normal and therapeutic diets.
• Adhere to Food Service policies and guidelines.
• Rotate duties as a relief worker within the unit.
