REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum ABET qualification
• No experience required
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Basic knowledge of health and safety
• Knowledge of food preparation and kitchen equipment
• Willingness to work shifts
• Good interpersonal skills
• Punctual and reliable

DUTIES

• Operate kitchen appliances
• Prepare meals and snacks according to ration scales and daily menus
• Assist with serving meals
• Assist with food preparation during field exercises
• Clean trays in hospital wards
• Set up bed tables and deliver meals using food warming trolleys
• Ensure special diets and correct meal portions are provided
• Serve tea and coffee
• Collect dishes after meals
• Return food trolleys to the kitchen
• Wash patients’ water bottles and provide fresh drinking water daily
• Mop kitchen floors after each meal
• Clean cupboards and walls
