PICKER (FORKLIFT OPERATOR)

Purpose of the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate stock movements within the Supply Chain environment, operating a forklift safely, and supporting warehouse operations to ensure stock is picked, stored, and dispatched correctly and on time.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• 1–2 years warehouse experience
• Valid Forklift Licence
• FMCG warehouse experience will be advantageous

Key Responsibilities

• Pick and issue stock accurately according to approved documentation
• Apply FIFO and FEFO stock rotation principles
• Receive, stack, rack, and store stock safely
• Operate forklifts in accordance with safety procedures
• Conduct daily forklift inspections
• Report defects and equipment issues immediately
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Assist with stock counts and inventory control
• Identify and report slow-moving stock
• Comply with PPE, quality, and safety standards
• Support continuous improvement initiatives
