Requirements
- Grade 10–12 or equivalent NQF Level 3–5 qualification.
- Gardening or farming experience will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of farming and the use of gardening equipment, chemicals and tools.
- Physical strength and endurance to perform strenuous duties.
- Reliable, punctual and honest.
- 1 year exposure in a hospital environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Awareness of Batho Pele Principles.
- Ability to work in a team and under pressure.
Duties
- Dig and weed gardens and remove dead wood.
- Mow lawns using lawnmowers and trimming machines.
- Apply fertilisers and water gardens.
- Clean hospital premises by removing litter and emptying refuse containers.
- Wash and disinfect garbage storage areas.
- Assist with moving and delivering equipment and furniture.
- Sweep and wash roads and paved areas.
- Carry out pest control functions on hospital premises and facilities.
- Adhere to instructions issued by supervisors.
- Check and report on the condition and servicing of machinery and equipment.
