MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must have:

Matric / Grade 12
Valid driver’s licence
Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP/PDP)
3 years’ experience as a long-distance driver
Experience within a funeral service environment

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Successful candidates will:

Drive long distances to transport human remains to specified destinations in neighbouring countries.
Ensure collections and transportation are completed according to planned routes and schedules.
Complete vehicle trip sheets for every journey.
Maintain daily vehicle logbooks.
Update monthly mileage records.
Conduct vehicle inspections before trips.
Check tyre condition and oil levels.
Keep assigned vehicles clean and in good condition.
Arrange minor repairs where necessary.
Use efficient driving techniques to manage fuel consumption.
Report accidents and traffic offences promptly.
Take responsibility for assigned vehicles and equipment.
Immediately report vehicle or equipment damage.
Follow legal and company driving standards.
Comply with applicable cross-border road regulations.
Maintain professional customer service and represent AVBOB appropriately.
