BKB is currently seeking a Driver who will be responsible to deliver livestock and equipment in time and without any risk to the company. In addition, the Driver will be required to provide support with the loading and offloading of cattle and cattle pen equipment, as well as the building of pens at auctions and any other ad-hoc responsibilities. 

REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 10
• Valid unendorsed Code 14 driver’s licence
• Valid South African ID
• Valid PDP (Professional Driving Permit)
• At least 5 years’ relevant experience in the livestock industry
• Fully bilingual
• Physically fit (medical induction required)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to use navigation apps
• Willing to work weekends and irregular hours
• Willing to travel extensively and sleep out when required
• Neat, punctual, and professional appearance

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver livestock and equipment safely and on time
• Load and offload livestock and cattle pen equipment
• Build cattle pens at livestock auctions
• Maintain the cleanliness and roadworthiness of company vehicles
• Complete and submit delivery records, accounts, and offloading tickets
• Manage fuel usage
• Perform ad hoc duties as required
