PROPERTY CARETAKER (X2 POSTS) – DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH

Salary: R134 910 per annum plus benefits

REQUIREMENTS:
• Grade 10, 11 or 12 or equivalent qualification
• Gardening or farming experience will be an added advantage
• Knowledge of farming and the use of garden equipment and tools
• Physically fit and able to perform strenuous duties
• Reliable, punctual and honest
• Hospital environment experience will be an added advantage

DUTIES:
• Clean furrows and drainage areas
• Wash corridors, driveways, parking areas and pavements
• Remove litter and empty refuse containers
• Dig, weed and maintain gardens
• Prepare soil for planting and maintain flower beds
• Fertilise, irrigate and prune plants
• Mow lawns and cut edges
• Clear leaves and debris
• Load and unload equipment and materials
• Perform pest control duties
• Check and report faults on machinery and equipment
• Carry out tasks as instructed by supervisors
