Job Purpose

To maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the company. The role supports operational efficiency by ensuring a clean and safe working environment through routine cleaning tasks, minimizing contamination risks, and contributing to product safety and compliance.

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent
1 year experience in a cleaning environment
Willingness to undergo internal Food Safety and HACCP training

Key Responsibilities

Comply with all pre-cleaning preparation requirements according to Standard Operating Procedures
Wash pots, pans, and traps
Maintain neat working areas and cleaning equipment storage areas
Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors
Vacuum offices
Clean toilets and change rooms
Sweep, mop, and scrub floors using approved equipment
Remove waste to designated disposal areas
Clean garbage bins and waste containers
Operate, maintain, and clean power-operated dishwashers safely
Comply with HACCP standards and health regulations
Pack garments for laundering
Deep clean equipment according to cleaning schedules
Carry out heavy cleaning tasks and special projects
Report maintenance issues and repair requirements
Work cooperatively with other staff members
Perform additional duties as required
Work shifts according to operational requirements
Ensure all work areas meet HACCP standards
Adhere to deep cleaning procedures
Follow Halaal ethics, codes, and conduct requirements
Ensure no unauthorized personnel enter Halaal areas without approval
Comply with Security, SHEQ, HACCP, Occupational Health and Safety, and Food Safety policies
Identify and report unsafe conditions and work practices
Monitor service providers and ensure compliance with service level agreements
