Owner driver
Nature of the Job:

CourierX is looking for compitent full-time, Owner Drivers who own or lease suitibly well maintained vehicles to assist us with our delivery routes in and around Witbank/ Middelburg and surrounds but also extending to surrounding provinces. Drivers will need to exhibit absolute professionalism and treat our customers parcels with the utmost care and attention.

Owner Drivers will adhere to South Africa’s driving laws and our company rules at all times and their impecible behaviour, communications skills and customer service will assist CourierX to consistently build customer loyalty and retention.

Owner Drivers will also be required to familiarise themselves with our warehouse and workplace health and safety guidlines while performing regular loading, offloading and occasional warehouse duties as and when requried.

Applicant’s Requirements:

Std 10 Certificate or High School diploma
warehouse experience is beneficial
1 year of driving experience
Must have previous courier experience.

Owner Drivers’ Main Duties and Responsibilities include:

Daily co-ordination, receipt, loading, collection/delivery and off-loading of CourierX parcels collected or delivered according to specific predetermined routes.
Proactive communication with CourierX collections/delivery and logistics departments, informing of any impediment or delay that may prevent the timeous, safe and secure collection/delivery of CourierX parcels.
Daily co-ordination of all planning and preparation of all waybills and necessary transport documentation.
Perform daily parcel counting and inventory control checks.
Support other departments as required in order to complete your collection/delivery tasks.
Close cooperation/collaboration with clients on collections / delivery of parcels and sourcing of delivery documents.
Receive and control CourierX parcels.
Identify and communicate potential process improvements, savings and cost avoidances.
Compliance with and work according to CourierX‘s work policies as well as applicable CourierX‘s quality standards.
Compliance with all health policies and safety-conscious work, treatment of all substances with relevant caution for the protection of oneself and others.
