Job Description
RCL FOODS is seeking a Risk Officer to join our Vector, Division. The role will be based in Linbro Park and report to the Warehouse Manager. RCL FOODS is looking for an incumbent who will develop, implement and manage CCTV control rooms as an effective management tool to reduce risk and loss to the business. Responsible for the technical control and management of a live security control room, supervision of maintenance of security equipment, and reporting and reaction on incidents by gathering information and evidence. Identify and highlight other risks on site, test and enhance processes to meet compliance. Ensuring employee safety. Asset Security and Management. Creating and Managing business continuity plans to limit risks. Conducting policy and compliance audits, which will include liaising with internal and external auditors
Duties & Responsibilities
Attend Crime scenes, analyze crime scenes, collecting/preserving evidence; Conduct crime patterns to identify criminal syndicates; Identify criminal syndicates and infiltrate syndicates with the use of covert agents and Law enforcement; Gather and analyze documents in preparation for evidence in Criminal and Internal Disciplinary procedures; Conduct Forensic investigations with regards to mismanagement of funds and to prepare these for departmental and criminal cases.; Comprehensive Report Writing; Develop, implement and monitor health and safety policies, programs, and procedures; Increase health and safety awareness at all levels within an organization; Investigate and compile comprehensive reports pertaining to unsafe acts, incidents/accidents, and hazardous working conditions; Oversee all safety health and environment activities within an organization and offer support as and when needed; Conduct the necessary safety inspections and health, safety audits at an organization; Conduct comprehensive Risk assessments within an organization, apply Hazardous Task identifications, Hazardous Task Analysis, and Safe Work Procedures to the Risk assessment. Safeguarding of company assets, assessment of acquired intelligence/information, and the deployment and development of subordinates. All CCTV Operators are reminded that every aspect of the system, procedures, and recordings, and proceedings are confidential and should not be discussed outside the Control Room or to visitors unless they are specifically authorized to be a party to the information. Any other duties as the Warehouse Manager may require in accordance with the grading of the post. To undertake the operation of all equipment and cameras within the CCTV department when and as required. To comply with the CCTV Codes of Practice, Data Protection Act, Human Rights Act, and other relevant guidance at all times. To effectively and sequentially monitor and control all cameras and to take action as appropriate to events seen. To maintain thorough records including Incident logs, the Repair and Maintenance Log Book, and any other designated records within CCTV. To be available for shifts as required including nights and weekend work Where necessary complete witness statement and prepare evidence as per procedures. To attend CCMA/Bargaining council as a company witness. To uphold confidentiality agreements and the Official Secrets Act in respect of all aspects of CCTV surveillance.
Minimum Requirements
Matric Risk Management qualification would be advantageous PSIRA Strong risk management and investigations skills Must have experience in supervising/overseeing loss prevention services CCTV operating experience Strong compliance and record management Accurate and concise literacy skills. Good telephone manner. General good education Good organizational skills Must have a flexible approach to work. Must be able to work shifts as specified. Must be able to attend court, CCMA, Bargaining Council as required. Must be able to work unsupervised
