REQUIREMENTS:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Valid Code 14 (EC) driver’s licence with a valid PrDP
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience driving heavy-duty trucks
• Clean driving record
• Good knowledge of South African road networks and traffic regulations
• Ability to read, write, and complete transport documentation accurately
• Cross-border driving experience
• Dangerous Goods certification/compliance
• Valid passport

DUTIES:

• Operate Code 14 trucks safely and efficiently
• Transport goods, equipment, and materials to designated destinations
• Secure loads and comply with legal load and weight regulations
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections before and after trips
• Report vehicle defects, breakdowns, or accidents immediately
• Keep the vehicle clean and roadworthy
• Monitor fuel consumption, oil levels, tyres, and vehicle performance
• Complete trip sheets, logbooks, delivery notes, and proof of delivery accurately
• Record mileage, routes, fuel usage, and delivery times
• Follow all health and safety procedures and wear the required PPE
• Report incidents, accidents, and unsafe conditions
• Assist with loading and offloading when required
• Plan routes for efficient and on-time deliveries
• Communicate delays or delivery issues to dispatch or supervisors
• Represent the company professionally when dealing with customers
