About the Position

Unitrans is looking for experienced and professional Bus Drivers to safely transport passengers on scheduled routes while ensuring excellent customer service, road safety compliance, and punctuality.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Valid EC Driver’s Licence
• Valid PrDP (G and P)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar bus driving position
• Excellent knowledge of road traffic laws and safety regulations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm during emergencies
• Willingness to work weekends, public holidays, and overtime
• Professional appearance and conduct

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport passengers to and from destinations
• Follow all traffic laws and company safety procedures
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensure passenger safety and comfort
• Keep the bus clean and presentable
• Follow assigned routes and schedules accurately
• Assist passengers when boarding and disembarking
• Report accidents, incidents, or mechanical faults immediately
• Complete trip logs and required documentation
• Provide professional customer service
• Attend safety meetings and training sessions
