Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• External driver certification
• Valid Code 14 (EC) driver’s licence with PDP
• Minimum 3 years’ experience operating a concrete mixer truck
• Ability to read, write and calculate
• Knowledge of road transport legislation
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Physically fit and medically fit
• Good eyesight, hearing and speech ability

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily vehicle and mixer inspections before commencing work
• Report defects and mechanical issues to the supervisor
• Ensure the truck is cleaned, greased and properly maintained
• Manage tyre condition and safety checks
• Transport concrete safely to construction sites
• Plan and follow delivery routes efficiently
• Operate the mixer and offload concrete at designated sites
• Comply with all traffic laws and company safety procedures
• Ensure deliveries are completed according to schedule

Required Driving Experience

• Experience driving:
  • Mercedes-Benz mixer trucks
  • FAW mixer trucks
  • FUSO mixer trucks
• Ability to operate:
  • Manual gearbox
  • Auto-semi automatic gearbox
  • Split gearbox systems

Working Conditions

• Outdoor construction environments
• Exposure to varying weather conditions
• Physical work involving vehicle inspections and concrete deliveries
