Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Packer/ General Assistant. The primary responsibility of the Packer/ General Assistant is to ensure that all products are properly sorted, stacked, packed and prepared according to company guidelines and standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pack according to specifications
• Ensure that all products are properly labeled and coded for accurate tracking
• Assist the operator with
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Perform basic troubleshooting and safely clear jams to ensure optimal performance
• Inspect products for defects or damage before packaging
• Assist with inventory management and stock control
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries
• Meet productivity goals and deadlines set by the supervisor
• Communicate effectively with team members, operator and supervisor

Qualifications:

• Minimum grade 10 certificate, but a Grade 12 will be an advantage
• Previous experience in a production environment preferred
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects such as pallet jacks
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong work ethic and reliable attendance record
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
• Basic math skills for counting and recording inventory
• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team
• Must be able to work shifts and overtime
