Requirements :
Grade 12 certificate. Minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a Cleaner in a health facility/environment. COMPETENCIES/KNOWLEDGE: good verbal & written communication. Be able to read and write. Have good interpersonal skills. Knowledge of OHS, Infection Control and Waste management, Batho Pele Principles, Patient rights, and OHS Act. Be able to work in a team and work under pressure.

Duties :

The incumbent will be expected to clean all designated areas such as floors, windows, walls, basins, mirrors, kitchen, urinals, and bathrooms, and e.t.c. Clean, dust surfaces, polish, scrub, strip, and disinfect clinical & nonclinical areas to keep them hygienic. institution. Prevent cross-contamination and remove spillages to prevent falls. Use of correct chemicals in the right dilution according to IPC guidelines when performing cleaning duties. Provide routine general work and compliance services on the Ideal Hospital Framework. Collect and separate waste according to categories. Clean and maintain cleaning tools. Report faulty equipment and other incidents in the allocated area.
