Picker Position At PCG

The Prestige Cosmetics Group is offering an exciting opportunity within our Distribution Centre for a driven and ambitious individual to join the Cape Town team as Picker.

Main job functions (but not limited)

Take orders/pick slips from outbound supervisor regarding needed items.
Locate items in the DC using RF scanner
Pull & pick items from the shelves/bins and ensure that they are not damaged.
Scan items with RF scanner to validate if correct.
Scan items with RF scanner to validate authenticity.
Place items into a box/es and move to despatch
Ensure the accuracy of each order & item
Ensure a clean working area at all time.
Reporting non-compliant items to line manager, i.e. damaged, etc.
Reporting items with/without security barcodes to line manager
Management of scanner
Inter department communication
Adhoc functions

Assisting in other departments based on operational needs.
Housekeeping in and around the DC.
Cycle counting and correcting stock levels.
Factory shop replenishment.
Returns replenishment.
Destruction stock pulling.
Receiving checking and scanning
Minimum Requirements

Must be able to work shifts
General Warehousing experience (Minimum 1yr)
Attention to detail
Self-motivated individual
Minimum matric
Willing to learn
Copes well within a pressurized environment.
Must be able to read and write
Basic computer skills
WMS knowledge – Datascope advantageous
Syspro knowledge advantageous
Team Player
Must be able to work independently.
