Herotel Is Hiring a Cleaners

Applications are invited for the Cleaner position to be based in Stellenbosch.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Cleaners perform a wide range of duties to keep a business tidy. They are also responsible for performing routine inspections to ensure that common areas, like restrooms, are sanitary.

Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

Responsible for all basic cleaning in office buildings.
Cleaning tasks such as dusting, mopping, sweeping, waxing floors, spot cleaning glass and windows and vacuuming.
Cleaning and disinfecting of restrooms, door handles, and surfaces.
Refilling supplies, such as toilet paper and paper towels.
Cleaning spills, broken glass, and other messes up as quickly as possible.
Performing maintenance activities related to cleaning, such as ensuring bathrooms are sanitary.
Report on low cleaning supplies as needed.
The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:

Good communication and organisational skills.
Must be proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively in English.
Follow and comprehend work tasks.
Highly responsible and reliable.
Demonstrate an understanding of standard cleaning supplies and equipment.
Must be physically capable of performing 8 hours of physical work each day.
Possess a strong attention to detail.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Education Requirements:

No qualification necessary (Grade 12 or equivalent qualification advantageous).
