Dis-Chem Pharmacies require a Packer for their Canal Walk, Century City store. Maintain the efficient and accurate receiving and packing of stock in line with Dis-Chem standard operational procedures and requirements, and customer needs within the Store
Minimum Requirements…
Essential:
Grade 12 / Matric
Minimum of 6 months’ relevant retail receiving experience
Basic mathematics
Computer literate – MS Office
Willing and able to work retail hours
Job Specification…
Remove stock from supplier delivery vehicle
Verify that all products/items received are correctly allocated
Handle goods with care to minimise stock damage and personal injury
Sort and pack different products and articles onto their own pallets, to facilitate checking in of goods
Identity any discrepancies such as damaged, misplaced goods, wrong labels and report the issues accordingly
Work with the Receiving Clerk to sort stock, and assist with the checking process
Pack stock accurately and correctly into shelves or onto a pallet
Complete an administrative form and complete organisational formalities for damages/accidents that occurred while packing according to Dis-Chem SOPs
Competencies

Strong command of the English language

Willing and able to work retail hours
Able and physically fit to lift and move heavy boxes, and ensure health and safety standards are adhered to
Reliable transport and/or reside in close proximity to the store
