The appointee should:

Have a valid Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
Have a valid code 11 driver’s license
Have a valid public driving permit/license
Have a relevant Certificate of competency
Have or be in a position to obtain a first-aid certificate
Preferably have completed the Safe Production Rules and Health and Safety courses
Demonstrate a high regard for safety and environment working rules and best practice
Have at least 2 years relevant experience
Have good communication skills
Be able to plan and schedule shift cycles
Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre.
Key responsibilities:

Work shifts and over weekends when required
Daily checks on vehicles to ensure its roadworthiness
Vehicle to be kept clean all the times
Comply with the requirements of the National Road Traffic Act & Regulations (Act N. 93 of 1996) whilst conducting his duties
Comply with all special instructions required by the mine
Driving heavy-duty vehicles to transport ore, employees to and from work, equipment and material safely and cost-effectively
Assisting with the servicing and repairing of minor breakdowns and undertaking basic maintenance on vehicles
Planning shift cycles and allocating drivers to duties ensuring that workload is allocated daily
Performing administration duties
Adhering to Health, Safety and Environmental policies
