Dis-Chem Pharmacies: Receiving Clerk

Dis-Chem Pharmacies’ require a Receiving Clerk for their new Tableview Store, opening quickly in the Western Cape Region. You will make sure the environment is friendly and correct receiving and packing of inventory in line with Dis-Chem’s SOPs and requirements, and purchaser desires inside the store.

Essential:

Grade 12 / Matric
Computer literate
Sound numerical skills
Willing and capable to work retail hours

Advantageous:

Previous receiving / retail / FMCG experience

Duties and Responsibilities:

Accurately verify, scan, and seize bodily items obtained for the store, in accordance with organization coverage and popular running procedures
Receive all warehouse items and invoices in accordance with employer coverage and procedures
Return all unordered or broken items delivered to the save and precisely entire savings notes for non-acceptance in accordance with business enterprise coverage and SOPs
Verify and take a look at deliveries and invoices for complete accuracy
Ensure items delivered are the items invoiced and captured in phrases of quantities, variant, and condition
Assist the Receiving Manager in getting ready and logging warehouse claims on the warehouse claims system
Ensure the go with the flow of inventory receipts thru receiving is maintained, that deliveries arriving are receipted the equal day and despatched to the floor
Process all returns to suppliers in compliance with organization SOPs
Ensure all physical controls over the items receiving vicinity are in location and operational
Maintain storerooms are in a suitable and orderly condition
Assist in managing and controlling high-risk stock

Competencies:

Essential:

Knowledge of receiving running procedures, administration
Strong command of the English language
Effective interplay with suppliers, management, reps and staff
Sound analytical skills
Time management
Heavy lifting + 20kg
Advantageous:

Bilingual
Operating of the inventory rotating system

Special stipulations of employment:

Willing and in a position to work retail hours
Able and bodily health to elevate and pass-heavy packing containers (+ 20kg)
Reliable transport and/or dwell in shut proximity to the store
South African citizen; or legitimate work permit
Clear deposit and crook records
